.....CARING FOR YOUR FLOWERS.....

ON ARRIVAL..
Here is some advice on what to do next once you have your flowers at home.

Traditional or presentation bouquet
Remove the cellophane, wrap and bows from your flowers. Place half of your flower food in to the vase with water and stir well. Cut and arrange each flower in to the vase as desired, ensuring each stem is cut on an angle. To prevent bacterial build up, strip the foliage from the stems that are reaching below water level and change water daily for fresher-looking and longer lasting flowers. Cut stems each time they are out of water for a period of 10 minutes or longer. Keep away from direct heat and sunlight.

Optional tip: re-use your cellophane and bow to decorate your vase.

Hand-tied bouquet
Either remove the cellophane, wrap and bows from your flowers or leave on for decoration. Place half of your flower food in to the vase with water and stir well. Cut each stem on an angle to the desired length to fit to your vase, ensuring that all of the stems are reaching the water. Change the water daily for fresher-looking and longer lasting flowers. Cut stems each time they are out of water for a period of 10 minutes or longer. Keep away from direct heat and sunlight.

Aqua-packed bouquet
If you choose to keep your aqua-packed bouquet as it is presented to you, you don't have to do much else. Be sure to top up with water by adding your flower food to a watering can or bottle with water. Slowly and carefully poor it through the inside lining of the cellophane surrounding the flowers, towards the stems and avoiding the flower heads and petals. For longer lasting flowers remove from packaging after a few days, cut the stems at an angle and place in a vase of fresh water and flower food. Change water daily and Keep away from direct heat and sunlight.
